NORCROSS, Ga. – Five people were shot dead Tuesday night in what police suspect was a murder-suicide at a health spa in Norcross, Ga., myFOXatlanta.com reported.
Authorities responded to the shooting at the Su Jung Health Sauna on Buford Highway, just northeast of Atlanta, around 9:00 p.m. ET.
Norcross Police Captain Brian Harr said in a press conference police had recovered one firearm at the scene and believed the incident was a murder-suicide.
He later said in a press release that a preliminary investigation revealed that an Asian male entered to business, shot four of the victims and then shot himself.
Officers found five victims in the spa, three males of Asian descent and two females of Asian descent. Four of the victims were declared dead at the scene and the fifth was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The spa is apparently run by a husband and a wife, according to a source who spoke with myFOXatlanta.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to the scene to help investigate.
